Colin really loves his playroom. I had a lot of fun just watching and taking pictures of him. He does a really funny impression of Yoda that I have to capture on video (charging the battery). The funniest part is that Colin’s only experience with Yoda is John’s impersonation of him, not the movies or anything. But Colin does know who R2D2, Yoda, Darth Vader and Boba Fett are. Like father like son!
I have also noticed that he’s started to really act for his toys. He made the Mommy monkey kiss the baby monkey and ‘carry him’, then he found a Daddy monkey to bring over to the family and a big brother monkey, and then he paired the Mommy elephant with the baby elephant. It’s really fascinating for me to watch. Now, while I’m writing this post he’s cooking lunch (no avocado, no lettuce, no beans of course) for all his toys and earlier this morning he put his cars in time out. I think he’s the funniest kid that I’ve ever met.
…we’re getting things done around the house. Lately we’ve been working a lot in the playroom, with the art wall, and framing some of Colin’s art work to hang. I wanted a very colorful space that exuded both fun and a place to learn. I’m proud of what we accomplished. Colin loves his playroom and he loves seeing his art on the walls!! We have one wall in the playroom to the left of the sliding glass doors that I hope to hang blown up pictures of Owen when he gets here.
